Contest: Win A Gift Bag Of Goodies From Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week may have come and gone again, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop strutting your stuff. As is tradition after Fashion Week, I have a swag bag full of fancy girly products for one lucky winner. Included in this season’s catch is the following: Continue reading
The Tenth Annual No-Pants Subway Ride: 2012 Edition

So you’re done with the excessive holiday eating? What better way to strut your new-found pounds than with the annual No-Pants Subway Ride. What originally began as a 7-person prank has now evolved into an internationally observed day of silliness. More than 4,000 people took their trousers off yesterday in New York City’s subways, and thousands more reportedly joined in around the world. Improv Everywhere organizes the annual event, where the sexy strap-hangers begin their train rides all over the city and then converge onto Union Square Park for an impromptu celebration of sorts. Fashion Week Man-Stuff Preview: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Convertible

Just in case you forget who puts all this Fashion Week hoopla together, Mercedes-Benz kindly reminds you as soon as you enter the lobby with this stunning SLS AMG Convertible. This panty-dropping beast features Mercedes’ 6.3 liter engine which produces a disgusting 518hp and 465ft-lbs of torque. Mercedes claims this is the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine to date. But with looks like this, do you really care? Do you really need the 5.5 liter Turbo, or [God forbid] the 6.0 liter V12 bi-turbo? Well, depending on how short/fat/bald/old/Alpha/small-penis you are, you may want to consider the latter, with a tarmac-defacing 604hp/738lb-ft. Continue reading
Fashion Week: JSong Way

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is upon us and we’re kicking off the festivities with some images from yesterday’s action.
Way Zen started her JSong Way line over twenty years ago. She took a trip to the orient and quickly fell in love with the rich embroidery artisans were producing. Zen has since been producing rich, hand-crafted articles that drape a woman’s body very elegantly. JSong Way focuses on details. By using unique craft patters that eliminate visible seams when working with textures, an aesthetic balance is achieved in every individual design. Gallery after the break: Continue reading
The Other Fashion Week Review
Before I get into the nitty gritty, I’d like to apologize for not putting this out sooner. I got into some spring cleaning a little early this year, and when my OCD kicks into code-red mode, there’s absolutely no stopping it until every surface is Windexed and every dust bunny has been slaughtered. But perhaps this disclaimer will not help the case I’m about to make.
Fashion Week Preview
The past few days have been very busy. There’s Fashion Week, Steampunk and a whole lot more in the works, but I’d like to wet your appetites a bit. Stay tuned for the full writeups later this week! Continue reading
Flickr Photostream Friday: LUCIMA

Charles Yeh of Lucima Studios is a Los Angeles based Photographer specializing in fashion, editorial and beauty photography. Originally from Taiwan, he works almost exclusively with women, creating high profile images for magazines and various other publications. Flipping through his Photostream is like flipping through Glamour or Vogue. Not that I do that on a regular basis, I’m just sayin’. Sometimes you’re at the Doctor’s office or the car wash, or whatever waiting area and its the only thing available to “read”. All jokes aside, Charles produces some of the most consistently vibrant pictures I’ve come across on Flickr. The models are all rail-thin and 6′ tall. Basically runway material. Head on over to Flickr to check out Charles’ photostream for your weekly dose of eye candy. Continue reading
Flickr PhotoStream Friday: Velasquez Photo
Like most of us, Mr. Eddie Velasquez began taking pictures for leisure and found that he really enjoyed it. He now works as a part time freelance photographer in Anaheim Hills, California. His commercial work is comprised mostly of portraiture and product photography, but his interests also include architecture, landscapes and Motorsports (my kind of guy!). Eddie’s black and whites are very nice, but I’m particularly drawn to his colors, and gorgeous models. California always looks great when you’re in a New York winter! Head on over to Flickr and check out his photos. You won’t be disappointed.
